Community & Creativity
As a hybrid cultural and community space, we create and host all sorts of projects and events where everyone is welcome.
From exhibitions, artist residencies, performances and film screenings, to craft markets, gigs, workshops, talks and festivals - we’re always busy plotting our creative programme, and always up for chatting to people and organisations who are looking for a space to host their artistic events.
We don’t have a traditional gallery or event space, we just let the activity unfold around us in a relaxed and informal way. So even if you planned to come for a skate or a coffee, you might end up enjoying something totally unexpected!

The Studios
Our first floor is home to individual and shared artist studios. Priority is given to those whose practice is experimental or non-commercial. Follow us on socials or sign up to our newsletter if you’d like to hear when a studio becomes available.
Work with us
As well as running our own programme of community and creative activity, we are always happy to host events and projects by others. If you think Spit would be the ideal venue for something you are working on then please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you.
